The factors he controls are all being taken care of very well, and stats wise he compares if not exceeds the best QB's in the league. It's unfortunate but the team just isn't up to par with him in my opinion.
I have felt the same way for a long time. I just got tired of arguing my point on here. hence the reason I haven't said much in this thread.

To the team as a whole, I think they are missing that winner mentallity. I would love for someone to breakdown how many previous NFL champions, NCAA champions are on the team. I bet it is less than five. That makes me think there are alot of guys that just don't know how to win, because they haven't done it in the past.

Just to clarify, there are a shit load of fans, and ever some players, that still call them America's Team and continue to ride that bandwagon to the full extent of the claim. IMO, if they want to claim the Cowboys are America's Team then they can take all the criticism that comes with it, with hat in hand. They can't have their cake and eat it.

The problem is coaching on both sides of the ball. Sometimes I think Red Jesus and The Dude want people to think they are smarter than they are so they try to out smart the other team, which just ends up with shitty play calling.

I think Red Jesus is a great head coach as far as every part of being a head coach goes under Jerry Jones. Except he needs a real OC to take that role and let him just concentrate on HC duties. I think The Dude is the right guy on the defensive side of the ball to lead that group, but he needs to do some serious player evaluating after this season, and our secondary needs some life in it. There's no real leader on defense anymore, Brooking has stepped out since he knows he's just about done, Ware does what he does, and Sean Lee is playing lights out, but there's no one taking over Brooking's leadership and motivation on the field like in previous years.

For a short pre-season, and a lot of player shuffling, and strange salary cap moves this season, I think they are doing a fairly decent job. Honestly better than I thought they would when I saw what we were working with during the pre-season.

Romo gets better and better each year, my only worry about him, has been his ability to finish a season, and play off pressure. If he can get past that stuff, he's the right guy for the job until he fails miserably at it.

I'll admit I have had my doubts, but after this season, no he deserves the spot, this issues are in other areas.

If a qb can be productive behind this line and a half ass running game, he can be my qb anyday.

You would start Bledsoe? You remember that he got benched in favor of Romo right? He has to act like that, if he comes off the field pissed, then he looks like a sore loser and gets all kinds of media attention. Do you remember the flak he got earlier this year when he shrugged off Jerry Jones?

I am not saying that Romo is an elite QB, but when you compare him to guys like Vick, or Orton, or Cutler, or even Rivers, he aint that bad. Do I also need to point out that he is one tough SOB? Busted ribs and he was still out there playing, can't say the same for a guy like Mike Vick.

after rethinking... romo really needs an offensive line that will give him more than 1 sec before he is running for his life! I dont even know where to start with the defense.. one corner (newman) is for sure done! I hope and pray for some solid draft picks!

But i agree that romo isnt the problem.. if he was under a coach like bellacheat, an owner that didnt get out of his box, a coaching staff that has 1/2 a brain... dallas might go 12-4 or maybe better

Tony Romo is not a clutch QB IMO. And from what I've seen, he never will be. I don't care how good of an offensive line or coaching staff the Cowboys have, I don't see them winning a SB with Romo as the starting QB, EVER. Don't get me wrong, he's got some great talent and makes some amazing plays, but when it really counts, he always seems to fuck up royally.

They need shorter O-line cause Romo can't see over the lineman he has now. Why do you think he automatically runs to the right or left? The only time or most of the time he passes it in the middle is the dump off pass to the RB.
