I just don't get the "he kept backing away from me" comment (no matter the fighter). But Diazs' face told a different story. What he meant was: "he wouldn't stay against the fence and let me beat him up". Condit had a plan, adapted, and won. If he had a problem with Condit's style, he'd been in a world of hurt against GSP. I'm glad Condit won for that reason alone.

Yes, Condit "won" the fight. But he did not beat Diaz, he did not dominate Diaz, he did not damaged Diaz. Get my point?Originally posted by TruestreetTim View PostI just don't get the "he kept backing away from me" comment (no matter the fighter). But Diazs' face told a different story. What the hell are you talking about, Diaz got beat. He also got beat up, look at his face after the fight. What did you expect Condit to do, sit there and let Diaz just hit him in the face. If Diaz would have spent more time fighting instead of showboatin, he may have won. How many times did he cross his arms, put his arms up, put them down around his waist, etc. Diaz to me has much better BJJ, he should have took his ass to the ground and showed off his BJJ skills, but instead he wanted what SEB was asking of you, straight up fight no BJJ. That kind of stratagy didn't work in this fight.Originally posted by Steve View PostNo he didn't. Did I say Diaz beat Condit? No. There wasn't much "fight" there because Condit was on his bike most of the fight. Condit's strategy won him the fight based on points, but no one got beat up and won convincingly.Originally posted by Rick Modena View PostWhat the hell are you talking about, Diaz got beat. Your analogy doesn't work with SEB either. I wasn't trying to hurt SEB, I could have if I wanted to. There is a difference.

No, I don't agree. I realize you're just looking for an arguement to entertain yourself. You have your opinion as a casual fan, I have mine as an educated fan. Our viewpoints are two entirely different perspectives because we approach the fights from two different backgrounds. You've never fought, you've never trained so I can't expect you to understand. To you it's the bottom line on the scorecard. I get that.Originally posted by Magnus View PostSo then you agree, Diaz got out classed, out struck, and out smarted.

Lmao, holy shit I'm dying over here.Originally posted by Steve View PostNo he didn't. Enjoy the view from your armchair.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

We must have saw a different fight then, I saw a fighter (Condit) fight with a hot head (Diaz) that wanted to punch and hurt another fighter other than use his Gracie black belt BJJ skills to win a fight. This fight plan did not work for Diaz, Condit on the other hand (imo) fought a very good fight, against a a guy who only wanted to box.Originally posted by Steve View PostDid I say Diaz beat Condit? You missed my point, SEB has said on multiple occasions that he wants to fight you straight up boxing no BJJ. He believes that he can beat you up in that type of fight, now you will argue that even in that type of fight he will lose, but until you two guys get it on again, no one will ever know.Originally posted by Steve View PostYour analogy doesn't work with SEB either. lol seb wants a boxing rematch? i guess i missed that one. Ill agree though I think he fought a smart fight just couldn't finish him. He's only been stopped twice I believe,I wouldn't want to try to take him down either.Originally posted by Rick Modena View PostWe must have saw a different fight then, I saw a fighter (Condit) fight with a hot head (Diaz) that wanted to punch and hurt another fighter other than use his Gracie black belt BJJ skills to win a fight. Diaz more often wants to brawl standing toe to toe, not submit people. He's only won 30% of his fights by submission and they always come after a heavy assault of punches. He's not a strict submission guy say someone like Royce Gracie, Demain Maia etc.Originally posted by Rick Modena View PostWe must have saw a different fight then, I saw a fighter (Condit) fight with a hot head (Diaz) that wanted to punch and hurt another fighter other than use his Gracie black belt BJJ skills to win a fight. Sure thing there, steve. Your boy was outclassed, and outsmarted. He also got hit more. Get over it.Originally posted by Steve View PostNo, I don't agree.
