As of right now, Cowboys will be #7 in the draft. Granted, that could change, but chances are Peterson won't be there at 7. And what you'd have to give up to move up 3-4 spots, just isn't worth it, considering all the other needs this team has (O Line, Safety, etc)

I was looking at Newman's stats this year.... Only 5 passes deflected and 2 interceptions. He is a solid tackler though year in and year out with 62.

I can't really comment on the whole Campo subject cause I've got no knowledge on the matter.

Dallas could use a safety though this I've known for a while.

Why wouldn't I like that statement? You act like I don't like or respect anyone in the NFL that doesn't play for Dallas, and that's far from the truth.

As mstang said, Jenkins was a complete shutdown corner last season. Talked about as one of the top 3 in the NFL. This year, he has completely fallen off.


There are a couple ways to address the situation. 1- Fire Campo. 2-, sign a couple veteran DBs. 3- sign a ball hawk safety. A ball hawk safety would help hide Jenkins and Newman's flaws.

But Campo needs to go for sure. He is a big part of the problem. As for Newman, I think it's a combination of age and Campo.

Well same could be said for Newman, correct? I remember Newman used to be a real good lock down corner. Ever since 2007 season or so I've started to notice he is losing that edge he once had. He will play a consistent game then all of the sudden gets burned deep on one play and is changes the outcome of the entire game.

Best example I can think of is when it was 10-10 Denver @ Dallas and Marshall burned newman deep in the last couple of minutes. Although probably a bad example because multiple Cowboys couldn't taken on that play.

Both CBs covered him on different plays. Newman got burned on the 65 yarder, Jenkins on the 91.

I think the proper word for the situation was. Was any corner covering him last night? and the answer would be no.
