  • Another Perfect Game

22nd in Major League history and 2nd for 2012. I can't think of any other season that's had 2. Matt Cain, SF Giants:

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Man, I'm starting to get desensitized to this shit. Offense is better than it ever has been in at any point of the game (sans the 90s, which really don't count), and yet we're seeing an explosion of stellar pitching performances.

I looked it up, and 2010 and 2012 are the only years with 2 in the same season (well, there were also 2 in 1880).

Also, the Dodgers have had 3 perfect games thrown against them (1 as the Brooklyn Dodgers, 2 as the LA Dodgers); the Twins, Expos, and Rays have all had 2 thrown against them.

The ball is doctored. Maybe we will go back to another dead ball era.

Great outing by Cain. It amazes me how everything big that happens in sports is always labeled the "greatest ever" by ESPN.

agreed....Journalistic Sensationalism at its finest. "Greatest Ever" "Breaking News" the only two phrases journalist seem to use now a days.

I'm sure the umpires have nothing to do with it.

I would rather see an umpire give a guy a break en route to a perfect game instead of steal away a perfect game on a seemingly unquestionable out.

Speaking of, if he hadn't gotten Jim Joyced, that would've been the third perfect game of 2010.
