    Dallas Stars FA and signing Ray Whitney

    Just saw a mavs FA thread, so why not. Ray Whitney signed to a 2 years deal, he is old but looks good. Adam Burish is gone, he signed with San Jose.

        Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Ribeiro fan and I hate seeing him gone but it clears up cap space and get's some younger guys in. I doubt it'll happen but I'd love to see the Stars pick up Sutter or Parise.

          Sutter is in Pittsburgh, chances are the Pens will go after Parise as well.

                Dallas did good getting rid of Ribeiro. Did ok signing Ray. Heard they made a big offer on Parise, but that will never happen.

                Still won't produce shit or or go anywhere this season.

                  I think the ribs thing was good as well. He just didn't play that great last year. I think Ray was a great pick up, lets just hope he doesn't break a hip out there. Rome is alright as well, but they need something big if they want to contend next year.

                    Hate to say it, but there are a lot of players I like/liked in the past that need to go. Morrow is on that list and so is Rib...

                    ...I just don't want to see Ott go though.

                    I agree with David though, it's probably going to be another 3 years before we're real contenders unless something meshes that I'm not thinking about.
