I just don't think changing confernces automatically makes your stock start to rise, winning games does. That's all i meant by saying that.

I am surprised ESPN has been throwing so much coverage at an unproven A&M team. ESPNU is covering midnight yell, college gameday the next morning, and all of the commercials.

I just hope we don't get killed this game (I am already counting Alabama and LSU slaughters, a win is the QB standing at the end of the game). Too many analyst are jumping on the A&M bandwagon and saying we are going to win against Florida, kind of hard to say that when no one has seen us play. Florida did not show anything last week for a reason.

    A&M stock is rising?

Brown brought in Beenie Wylie for the exact reason you just mentioned. And from players tweets this off season it's working

In my opinion Sumlin may or may not be that guy either, but he's a young head coach, and did a lot at A&M, Oklahoma, and especially with Houston. He's not afraid to mix things up and get results. Fortunately he comes with Aggie roots, and is well liked and respected in within the organization as well.

My honest feeling is in 3-5 years Sumlin will be out, and a higher caliber coach will be brought in. But I haven't had a chance to see how Sumlin does with this team yet.

I'm just amazed that a&m wanted to start out in the SEC with a brand new unproven coach is all. Remember this, Sumlin did good at Houston with Art Briles players and also got beat by teams with winning records. This is why the Sumlin hire still has me scratching my head. Guess we'll find out soon if he is worth a damn.

Sherman was a great guy and has football knowledge but micromanaged his players. He treated the guys like NFL athletes and didn't push them that hard. He had very few coaches that could recruit as well. Almost all of Sumlin's coaches were the best recruiters on their team and he made sure to get one from each major football state. The players say he works them around 10 times harder than Sherman and he gives them more individual responsibility.

All of this is fine and looks good but we will see how we look on Sunday. Everyone has a great plan until they get hit in the mouth...by a 300lb defensive tackle that runs a 4.6.

I think A&M will do fine this year. I dont expect them to win more than 6 or 7 but they have a great coach.

Did you see how big of a mess Houston has turned into?

Coach Sumlin knows what he's doing.

    Holla at Coach Sumlin
    Holla at the Stoops

Florida's defense is pretty good, and they have speed. I admit on offense they didn't look great last week. Is college game day going down there for this game? I guess looking at the National schedule, there's not much good games this week. Muschamp better star winning soon.
