I'm afraid it won't matter if they don't start hitting the ball.Originally posted by Geor! View PostGarza not starting tonight for Chicago. A trade is all but completed, apparently. Wonder what they're giving up for someone who's just going to be a rental, and possibly not even needed when the rotation gets healthy (also assuming they make the playoffs). Too much, I'm sure.

They traded a Minor League catcher I'd never heard of for him, and he was Dumpster's personal catcher. In hindsight, I doubt the other guy could've ever amounted to much less than Soto, but at the time? Meh.Originally posted by mstng86 View Postthe Soto trade.
in other baseball news, Braun just got suspended for th rest of the year.Originally posted by BroncojohnnyHOORAY ME and FUCK YOU!

Rest of the season = 65 games/3.4millionOriginally posted by Nash B. View PostThe Hebrew Hammer got nailed...will he be crucified?
He's been hurt off and on this year and the Brewers aren't contenders. It will just give him time to "heal" up real good and get really clean before next season.

It must be nice being able to plan your suspension when it's convenient for the player and team. What a joke. The teams are actually going to benefit from a player suspension. They don't lose a roster spot and they don't have to pay the player. Meanwhile if Colon or Cruz end up suspended it'll crush the A's or Rangers, both in the middle of a pennant race.Originally posted by 71chevellejohn View PostRest of the season = 65 games/3.4million
