I enjoyed it. Didnt think it was worthy of all of the praise it received, but it was good for what it is. The opening song had me glued, the rest just kinda did its own thing, not really capturing my attention, but nothing so revolting as to warrant an immediate eject either.. Something i'd spin a few times a year, but not worthy of a once a month listen.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostI assumed you'd understand that sentiment.
What'd you think of that album, by the way?

Funny you mention that. After I posted up asking that I thought about it and realized it hadn't stuck with me nearly as much as I thought it would at first. I still like it, but I haven't been wearing it out like I expected to.Originally posted by Geor! View PostI enjoyed it. That was a kick in the junk last night, but a great game to watch. I've always wanted to watch a perfect game happen, and it was so close. Too bad he didnt complete it cause if he would've got that guy out I think he would've only thrown 3 pitches in the 9th.Los Angeles Rams 11-5
Last Game - Loss vs. San Fransisco
Up Next - vs. Atlanta

Beltre will wake up. Moreland has to wake up this year, or he's going to find Mike Olt getting a lot of his at bats after a while.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostDarvish was a monster last night. I'm still waiting for Moreland and Beltre to wake up, but Berkman looked good. I was really concerned about that acquisition, as far as him being a real contributor.
Berkman has looked good. He also has very clearly lost a lot of weight, which hopefully will help keep him healthy. Still don't know why he tries to bat switch, because his splits are nothing short of atrocious.

Beltre could hit 3 dingers in one game and pretty much assuage any of my fears concerning him. I've been really supportive of Moreland, but this is his "make it or break it" season, IMO. His great numbers in the spring remind me of the "Chris Davis syndrome".Originally posted by Slowhand View PostBeltre will wake up. I hope not. He's a likeable guy (not particularly important) and has a good glove. Olt would be a defensive step back at first, but I don't think he's ever going to cut it in the outfield, so first is his only shot with this team.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostBeltre could hit 3 dingers in one game and pretty much assuage any of my fears concerning him. Really starting to get the feeling that Olt is going to be moved sometime this season; I think a lot of that depends on Moreland's performance, but that's all pure conjecture on my part.

Olt and Profar (do we really need him now that Andrus is locked up for 6 more seasons?) for Stanton? But then you think about what if you threw Profar at second, and moved Kinsler to first (assuming the likelihood of Moreland not working out)? That would be an impenetrable infield. How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Olt and Profar is too much for Stanton, unless he sings a 12 year extension first.Originally posted by Geor! Problem with Andrus is that he has an out in 4 years. Obviously Profar isn't going to be hanging around our farm system in 4 years, but if we find room for him at a different spot, he can take over in the event that Andrus opts out.
I mostly think that Profar is just too good to let go, period. Find a spot for the motherfucker, somewhere. I think it comes down to Kinsler having to move at some point, either to first or the outfield. Let Nelly go after this (?) season, move Kinsler to right, throw Profar at second.
Olt is expendable from where I stand. Yes, Beltre honestly could be done any year now (who knows with the vagueries surrounding his DOB), but if Joey Gallo can figure out 3rd base, he has a shot to be ready in 3 or so years.
