That's a long ass run from first base and he had to see the ball down before he could commit. At first it looked like it might've been caught. There was no reason why he should've been sent there with nobody out and 9-1-2 due up.Originally posted by BroncojohnnyHOORAY ME and FUCK YOU!

I saw it tailing to left field, and he could have had his fat ass STANDING on second when it came down, and still be able to get back to first. He can't scatter his own turds.Originally posted by Nash B. View PostThat's a long ass run from first base and he had to see the ball down before he could commit. I didn't see the play happen, but I saw the result of it.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostI saw it tailing to left field, and he could have had his fat ass STANDING on second when it came down, and still be able to get back to first. He can't scatter his own turds.
Soto singled.
Moreland doubled to deep left.
Soto tagged out at home.
I immediately wondered why in the fuck Gary Pettis sent him home. He had to have been out by a mile. That was all Pettis, not Soto. How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

The throw was dead on, and it was a close play. The tag was high on Soto as his feet were going over the plate. There's no reason he shouldn't have scored on that play. No matter.Originally posted by Geor! View PostI didn't see the play happen, but I saw the result of it.

It was actually mildly close, but he probably shouldn't have been sent. Elvis also shouldn't have gone on the ball that got past the 3B on the play he got thrown out on at home, but honestly, I'm not going to bitch about either play. Being aggressive on the basepaths is what made the Rangers good and it's what they got away from last year that hurt them. There's a definite line between aggressive and stupid, but I don't know that that line was crossed tonight.Originally posted by Geor! Plus side: back home after two disappointing road games to end the road trip and we're now a day closer until Colby comes back to shuffle Ogando off to the BP -- though he didn't have a horrible game today. Also, at least we beat teams who are not Houston, unlike the highly overrated Oakland, who keep losing.
Down side: Hitting with RISP is atrocious (reminds me of 2010), two lefties open the Chicago series, Kinsler has popped up in the infield more this road trip than all of last year, it seems. Murphy is hitting well below the Mendoza line for the first month and the streak of not losing consecutive games comes to an end.How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

At least those 2 games didn't ruin the whole trip. Any road trip above .500 (4-3) is a plus.Originally posted by Geor! View PostPlus side: back home after two disappointing road games to end the road trip
Oakland/Halos game went 19 innings last night. The former crackhead went 0-8 with 3 strikeouts and his team lost. BA dropped back down to .202. How much longer before Jesus helps him find his batting stroke?

0-8? Damn! I guess dropping that weight, getting "really fit", and playing in a "baseball town" isn't the magic potion. He's so fragile, he's probably hurt and doesn't want to tell anyone.Originally posted by mustang_marc View PostAt least those 2 games didn't ruin the whole trip.
