I like the pick up. He's worked with Joe Maddon and Terry Francona and most recently managed in the Angel's system. He'd also be a good candidate to replace Warsh if the time comes.

I don't like the fact that they kept Pettis as the 3rd baseman coach. Honesty it looks bad when you come back from a bad road trip from Kansas City and once the plane lands your at Fox drinking until close. That kinda pissed me off.

I see they fired Jackie Moore and Dave Anderson today. Well, some say fired, and some say they are not getting a contract renewal.

Either means exactly the same thing, they are no longer employed by the Texas Rangers. Look for some more Ryan - Daniels drama this off season. Jackie Moore was his guy in the dugout. I wouldn't be surprised to him and Ryan both head to Houston soon.

Why keep Dave Magadan though? The offense is what killed us this year.

They isn't gonna change anything. Those guys get their directions from Warsh. Situational managing sucks by Warsh...and that's where the changes need to start.
