If Holland would have progressed like we thought he would and Lewis was ready for spring training i wouldn't feel as bad about our pitching. As i see it now, we need an upgrade. Behind Darvish and Harrison i am not comfortable. Ogando has the talent but last time he was a full time starter he really wore down.

It makes absolutely no sense to me. So they have a pitcher who is capable of going out there and winning 20 games in a year, but since he's now pitching for KC, he's more than likely only going to pitch 10-14 winning games. Meanwhile, the Royals got rid of their already pathetic farm to acquire him and have to pay him more money than their entire 40-man roster makes. It was a completely and utterly inane move.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostThey gave away the cream of the crop of their farm system. Not worth it.How do we forget ourselves? So i was also reading the D-backs were pressing hard for Shields and part of the trade proposals were Upton to Texas in a 3 or 4 team deal that brought Shields to Arizona. Now with that dead, the Dbacks are probably just going to keep Upton unless someone caves in to their high demands
I am starting to think Hamilton is going to be back next year...

As far as the D-backs go, the last rumor I heard regarding Upton to TX was that they wanted Profar or Andrus(AZ has been shopping for a SS everywhere!). I would like to see TX get Upton before making Hambone an offer. That would give the Rangers the upper hand in dealing with him. I think Hamilton is going to find out that there aren't that many places that can afford him(where he would want to play)..
