In terms of drugs and hookers, LA is like new America Bangkok. Hambone will have big issues out there.

I'm fine with the Rangers. Pujols didn't come close to earning his keep last season, and Hamilton is one titty-bar visit away from a possible suspension (because of the substance abuse clause). I still feel like he's a big gamble.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostCheck and check. We were told the same things about the Angels last year, and they didn't live up to expectations. Hell, without the breakout of Trout, they would have been shittacular. They'll be good, but they're not going to run the table. Throw in two injury prone superstars and they'll be a perfectly human team.
Still don't get why dumb moves are better than no moves at all.

That or he wanted out. If it's true what my bud said about the 4/100m deal, it's highly likely they would have matched the 5/125m deal he just signed. Who knows. Maybe we'll find out when his movie comes out.How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

I was thinking the exact same thing. It won't be long before he's in the news again from a relapse. He will be like a kid in a candy store there. If he truly believed in his stay out of trouble philosophy he would go to say Kansas City or the like. He's full of shit. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$Originally posted by Sean88gt View PostIn terms of drugs and hookers, LA is like new America Bangkok. Hambone will have big issues out there.

LOL. I'm over Hamilton. He and CJ can go be sober in LA together.
Though I don't know how long Josh will last out there. Trading one addiction for another while here... hell, even my mom is giving him 6 months tops before a "relapse." (I wish nothing bad upon him, but I have a feeling he's gonna have a hard time)

It's funny: The Rangers pretty much salvaged his baseball career from ashes, and he shows little or no professional courtesy towards them or the fans here. But if the shoe's on the other foot, players piss and moan about how they've been slighted or disrespected by the club that didn't sign them.Originally posted by Couver View PostFrom the reports fuck Josh. ESPN is reporting he never gave the Rangers a chance to match.
IMHO this has his wife's opinion all over it. She wants to go big market for big money. All for more "charity" they say they want to use the money for.
Sorry, but when it comes to pro athlete's making $25 million a year, and showing discontent, "sympathy" falls between "shit" and "syphilis" in the dictionary.

Fuck him and good riddence. Really he didn't owe the Rangers anything as they had over a year to work a contract extension with him. In the same boat, the Rangers owe him jackshit. The truth is the Rangers didnt want him back at that kind of money and i'm glad they didn't bite the bullet.
I am concerned about how we are going to replace about 72 homers and 270 rbi's next year in our lineup. Guys like Gentry, Leonys Martin, and J Profar aren't going to do it..
