I was in the same boat. Had just finished tearing him down to the foundation when he hit that; my buddies haven't shut up about it since.Originally posted by Geor! View PostFoot, meet mouth.
This might be the worst ever meeting of the two best pitchers in the league at any given time. Worthless as a pitcher's duel.

I'm just not that upset. He's not a starter, and he shouldn't be starting. He hasn't been bad, but he hasn't been great. If anyone really needs to go when Harrison/Lewis get back, I think he'd be my pick, but I don't think that'll happen.Originally posted by mightyp View Postwell crud

Alexi Ogando pitched well in his last start, throwing six innings of two-run ball Wednesday, but now he’s headed to the disabled list with biceps tendinitis.
Josh Lindblom is expected to take Ogando’s place in the rotation beginning Monday, which is interesting because all 101 of his big-league appearances have come out of the bullpen. Lindblom has spent all of this season starting at Triple-A, however.
As for Ogando, he’s shown no signs of arm problems while starting nine games with a 3.08 ERA and 37/19 K/BB ratio in 50 innings. Ogando has alternated bullpen and rotation roles, starting this season and in 2011 after relieving in 2010 and 2012.

Still rehabbing; he had a start this week that seemed to go well enough. They're not going to rush him, though, so we'll have to wait and see on that. Don't know who is left to bring up/stretch out, though; I fear the stop gap solution may be....Derek Lowe...Originally posted by Geor! View PostIs Perez healthy enough yet?
edit: Perez started tonight in Round Rock. Gave up 4 runs in 5 innings, but it's tough to gauge those starts. He's probably the likely candidate to come up.

Yeah when he came back for the 8th I cringed. As dinged up as the pitching staff is I don't know why they have him throw 120+ so often.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostAlright, is it just me, or is the Yu pitch count situation getting out of hand? I realized that he's used to throwing more pitches, but for goodness sake, this is unnecessary.
