We are playing in the 11U Major division (Houston Heat Black) and I will be there to watch. Looks to be a stacked event.

I'll be there with my son's 9U team. We are the Frisco Rider 9U Black team. Jordan went 55-56-55 on 3 consecutive pitches from the stretch the other week mid-workout. He's added a consistent 4mph on his fastball from early/mid fall. Not bad for a 9U lefty with movement. I'll PM you my cell. I'd love to meet you and see Colby play and hopefully pitch.

That's awesome. Jordan will be a stud on the mound for years to come if he keeps that up. Colby is now 5'8 175lbs and just turned 11! He throws 65-67 pretty consistently. And that's after 4mos off due to medial epicondylar apophysitis.

wow your son is fairly thick then for an 11 year old!

He's pretty big for his age...and he's a beast on the field. This is July. He was 5'7 165 here.

I'm only 6'1 but the men on his mother's side are 6'4+.

Dave, I was tracking you guys yesterday, and it looked like a rough Sunday. I hate those weekends. Sorry we didn't get to see you guys play. Jordan's team managed 2 ties on Saturday placing them in the 2nd tier bracket. After a very slow start and a 1 run win in the first game in the last inning, they came on. We ran out of gas in game 4 of the championship.

Jordan played well though. He ended up pitching 5 1/3 innings and racking up 13 K's over 2 games yesterday. He hit 2 line drives off the fence too along with hitting the pitcher twice on balls through the middle. Hopefully we can meet up in a future tournament. Good luck the rest of the season!

Yup...the coach had a previous engagement and two players didnt make the trip...add to that Colby was sick running fever all Sat evening/Sun morning and it made for a bad outing.
Looks like you guys faired better.
