They just said multi years and Carl said it was noting about the money just looking for some where to win a champion ship. they wont say how much or how long carl wants it to be a private deal.

its a good decision I think. he has always had great equipment at Roush, why leave that place. Going to a 4th car at Gibbs could really turn out bad, we've seen other teams in the past do that and hurt their performance. At roush he will be the guy always carrying the banner for that team, as well as Kenseth.

I said before that he will get a good ride because of his family, but this year I have to kinda stop saying that. This is the best equipment he has ever been in and he has ran pretty good as of late. Say what you want about him personally, but he at least raced in Busch for a while then went to cup. He is no way in the same league as Logano who is just overrated. Menards win was well earned in my mind. He had to save fuel but also at the same time stay in front and give him credit for keeping his emotions in check when Jeff was closing.

Fact of the matter is regardless of him running nationwide first is that without his daddy he wouldn't have been in any series for long if at all. His driving had nothing to do with him being up front. His crew chief had him stay out while most of the contenders came in. They knew he had enough fuel to make it if he conserved for a few laps. If he had a fast car, Jeff wouldn't have closed at the rate he did even after Paul was told to floor it.

As far as his equipment..... what's different about it this year than any other that he has been with rcr? He has had some decent runs. But so have a lot of the other one hit wonders. I'm not impressed by him one bit. There is nothing personal behind my statements. I just see him as middle class driver with lots of money backing him up. There are lots of other drivers with less than 5 wins over the span of a few years that run decent from time to time. When he becomes a legitimate threat..... then ill be impressed.

Again... so have a few others that will never be a champion. I remember lots of people on the Trevor " train " when he won daytona. David R. has decent runs with decent equipment, yet how many wins does he have?

For the first time, ford actually stepped in and helped keep Carl in a ford. Their spokesman said they never step in with contract negotiations but they wanted Carl to stay in a ford as the face. So with that being said...... I bet his contract is huge monetary wise.

i cant see them coexisting with their issues in the past
