Very true...teams I'm only worried about that can possibly beat the Spurs....is Dallas,Heat and Boston...but any of these teams would go 7 games come playoff time...thank god for Pop!
The Spurs have a nice cushion...and the Mavs won't catch them. Can we make it interesting? Sure! But with 30-31 games to go...a 6.5 game lead should be safe. If Dirk hadn't gone out, I'm sure the Mavs n Spurs would still be neck n neck.
The Spurs have 6 more games on this long road trip, but the teams are all pansies. Only the Bulls at the end of the trip will be a contest. Until then, they have the Pistons, Raptors, 76ers, Wizards, and Nets.
What I'll be looking forward to is early/mid March. The Spurs get the Heat and the LA Flakers at home on the 4th and 6th. Then on the 14th and 18th, they play at the Heat and at the Mavs. Yum yum schedule!

Mavs put the pedal the metal early last night and never really let up. The score is a lot closer than the game really was. Charlotte got several easy buckets towards the end. Mavs take their 8 game winning streak and put it on the line against the Cavs who now have the single season NBA record losing streak...at 24. Wow. What a difference a year - and LeBron makes.
I feel sorry for the cavs players, not the owner and I won't be when they play the mavs but it sucks to be in their situation. With that said go Mavs!
