I've been a Spurs fan since their first year in the NBA. The first NBA game I ever saw was Spurs vs. Lakers when Kareem was young and George G. was and still is the man.

I'm sick of hearing how the Lakers are the best team in basketball. Everyone is sick of it.

I will cheer for the Spurs and Mavericks both and one of them will take down the Lakers.

The two best teams are the Spurs and Mavericks.

It's just sad that now that the Mavericks have coaching and the right players around Dirk they can't keep everyone healthy. I've seen seasons like this as a Spurs fan too.

I hope Dirk gets back to 100%, and I'm sad Caron went down because he was playing awesome. It's also great to T. Chand getting to play for a team where he finally fills his best role and with a coach that knows how to use his talents. My hope for the Mavs is that M. Cuban stays the hell away from J. Jones and keeps this group of coaches and players together and makes youthful additions. The Mavs will win a championship if Cuban lets this play out.

In the meantime, I'm hoping the Spurs can get one more before the Duncan era ends.

I was at the Spurs / Mavs game at AA a while back too. I wish Dirk would've been healthy for that game, and I hate all the Mavs fans that made Dirk the excuse when they lost. Those were the same classless fans cheering when they beat a gimped up Tim, and Manu in the playoffs last year. I didn't make any excuses.

What excuse are the Lakers going to use when they lose in the playoffs this year? It was all Ron's fault? It was Bynums (we've heard this before)?

And the Mavs have clawed all the way back. 52-52 all with 1:44 left in the half.

And we have ourselves a good game going on now. Mavs clawing back into it. Down 50-46 with 3:30 left in the half.

Mavs and Nuggets going at it tonight. Dallas came out flat and fell behind double digits right off the bat - down 33-19 after 1. Of course, they don't quit and we're in the 2nd Q now and the Mavs have trimmed the lead back down to 8. They are not playing much D so far tonight.

of course but I wouldn't count on things going the same way this year both the Mavs and the Spurs are completely different teams at least in play style. correct me if I am wrong here but arent most of S.A.s newest players unproven in the playoffs?

Now that's news! He's been there over 20 years and to just leave in the middle of the season? There's something behind that.

As much as I hate to admit it...Mavs are a contender but I doubt they have what it will take to win a ring but the will be up in the mix!

I guess the Celtics aren't worth a shit either, eh? Mavs are 2-0 against the Celtics this year, with one of those wins coming just a week ago. Suck it, hater.
