I just don't understand any point in running when they won't have a nearest competitor...unless the ferrari made up that much ground. But they will probably be several seconds behind front runners, and a few behind sauber.

the money they would have received for their 9th place last year will be distributed to the remaining teams equally.
Bernie Ecclestone, who said the other teams would sooner take their share of the income than bend the rules for the stricken team.
“They wanted to come in with last year’s car and it didn’t get accepted,” Ecclestone said. “It needed all the teams to agree and there were three or four of them that didn’t agree.”
Marussia’s rivals will now share the estimated £34m in prize-money which it would have received for finishing in ninth place last year. “The money that they should have got gets distributed amongst the teams that are racing. That’s a pretty good reason I suppose,” Ecclestone added.www.hppmotorsports.com

Thats funny coming from Force India who in November screamed about money and the little teams, but then votes no. Also funny when I read where the car that they debut last month is a 2014 car with a new nose.Los Angeles Rams 11-5

stab a motherfucker in the back for £4 million! will buxtons blog is always good:
The Strategy Group. Three little words that are killing Formula 1. The bitterly ironic thing is that everybody saw this coming. Ever since it was created as a replacement for the Sporting and Techn…
i like marussia, i wanted to see them back but at the end of the day, they are not that important. they looked like they were just in to try to get that $40M.
similar shit caterham did with their auction. scrounged up 3 million from the public to run 1 last race and close up shop.
i'm thinking Force India doesn't survive 2015. 2016 + haas + every other team surviving + 3 car teams, might just prolong the F1 money train a few more years.Last edited by momo; 02-06-2015, 12:12 PM.www.hppmotorsports.com

in F1 powerplant news:
Ferrari pushed for V8 bi-turbo + KERS formula. but of course, totally REJECTED. fuck. only renault was on board, the main culprit behind this v6.
instead the target is the v6 turbo formula is here to stay through atleast 2017. they will target the 1000hp mark via more hybrid output and increased fuel flow limit.www.hppmotorsports.com

I think FI has very valid points, this would have also been rejected by other teams too btw.
Marussia had no true plaN to even make this year work. Not only would they have been several seconds behind, they probably wouldn't have come close to finishing the season.
V8 biturbo would have been soooo awesome.

I laughed at Renault when they wanted to change the engine regulations. Like why mess up something that your dominating with in Red Bull and even Lotus.
Didn't teams run 3 cars back in the day? I would like to see that this year. Lineups Could be
Out of the Lotus, Sauber, and Force India mix, I think Sauber is in the best shape. They looked good in Jerez. Lotus looks at least better than last year. I agree with 2015 could be the last year for Force India. Its not really a good situation to not be in the preseason tests. Now looking to miss the next one.Los Angeles Rams 11-5
