Pretty sure he'll be getting a couple of days off. He's definitely still the closer but he's been ridden hard this series.

So how does a manager normally look at a 4 games series where they have won the first 2? Are they OK conceding the 3rd game if they need to rest the bullpen?

I don't think Bannister would ever concede a game but it's a long season. Darvish is going to have a pretty low pitch count so he's going to use the bullpen regardless but I see him using a long man like Ramos for 2-3 innings instead of the Diekman/Dyson combo for the last two innings. Bush and Tolleson should also see some work tonight.

My guess is they hope yu can be efficient and get through 7. If so, they send out Barnette to set up and diekman to close.

Good pitching, we got fisted. It seemed clear banny decided to put the offense on the hook to rest the bullpen and putting Wilhelmson out there. You can't win every game. We have to pace ourselves. Especially when we have 14 inter-division games in a row. So far we're 5 of 6. It was time to rest the pen.

So Profar has played 1st, 2nd, SS, and 3rd so far this season; is he going to go pitch and catch at some point that be over it all...

It's nice having someone who can fill in those positions when needed

That is true; but Alberto did have that walk off that one time... I can't remember when, but it surprised me so much when it happened that I can remember it

He's not that bad, he won the DR batter of the year award. If you recall he saved our ass in the Toronto game. He just doesn't get enough time behind the plate.
