Fine, though, I'll have you know my inner cheapskate has me eye fucking this thing.Originally posted by bcoop View PostBe a man and use a real smoker.
I'm fully expecting to have to "fix" it, but for no more than I'll use it, I'm ok with that.

My smoker is an old, cheap, beat to shit "Char Broil" model I bought used from Evil Jose for like $50. Looks very similar to that. They suck to learn on. It can be infuriating. That said, I've been using it for so long, I can make it do whatever I need it to. It just took some getting used to, and how the smoker behaves with cheap, thin metal. I can use any smoker you put in front of me now, just because I learned everything on that piece of shit. For your occasional backyard bbq, they are just fine once you learn to use it. It doesn't make sense to go spend a couple grand on a trailer smoker, or $1500 on a BGE (with accessories) for someone who only plans to smoke 10-20 times a year.Originally posted by Tyrone Biggums View Post
Academy has an Oklahoma Joe, or something like that, with a larger barrel, and thicker gauge metal that works great, for $399. Matt has one, and he loves it.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Craig, have you used yours yet?Originally posted by Chili View PostSold out online, but many of the stores still have it. Ours is waiting for us to pick it up today:
Not the best ever, but for $100 I figured that even getting 3-4 solid years out of it would be ok."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

I'm still thinking about picking up one at the $159 they are now. Would you mind measuring yours for me?Originally posted by Chili View PostJust for hot dogs.
Works as expected so far. I like how the bottom totally slides out for easier cleaning. Otherwise, it's what you would expect from a low price gas grill.."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

If you remember, I have that island/outdoor kitchen shell that I got stuck with, and Ive been thinking of putting another grill in it. If you dont mind, Id like to get the main part of the grill, length and width.Originally posted by Chili View PostWhich measurements do you need?"If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

Shouldn't be a problem, as long as I remember. If you think about it tonight, shoot me a text sometime after about 5:30 as a reminder.Originally posted by Baron Von Crowder View PostIf you remember, I have that island/outdoor kitchen shell that I got stuck with, and Ive been thinking of putting another grill in it. You may enjoy it that way, so don't take this as a dig, but you need a higher temp to get the crust to a nice golden brown. Time cooks, temperature browns.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.
