Soaked some back strap in milk overnight. This morning I marinated it in some Kraft honey BBQ sauce. This evening I put Stubb's BBQ spice rub then threw them on the grill for 5 minutes each side at 400 degrees. Some badass stuff and it was really tender and moist.that came from a 4-5 year old doe

I like the kraft hickory honey BBQ sauce better than most other saucesOriginally posted by bcoop View PostKraft BBQ sauce? That shit is nasty.
Ehh I've tried 3 different types of baby rays and none were that great. Fuck off with that nasty ass lasagna shit, lolOriginally posted by downshift_me View PostIf you don't make your own sauce use Sweet Baby Ray's....better yet just make lasagna next time.

The older the deer the tougher and gamier it is. Deer meat is very lean and has hardly any fat, so to make it tender you need to marinate it. Soaking it in milk draws out the game taste.Originally posted by jluv View PostI've tried a jillion BBQ sauces, and keep coming back to Kraft. That said, it sure sounds like you molested the he'll out of that meat. I'm not familiar with cooking venison. Does it not taste good without all the doctoring?

Stuff is way too thick and sweet for me. I had you pegged for a spicy sauce kind of guy. I'll bring you some stuff next time I see you.Originally posted by jluv View PostI've tried a jillion BBQ sauces, and keep coming back to Kraft. As for molesting the meat... Typical for people who don't really know how to cook.
