What are some good cheeses to try? I have been craving some different type of cheese but don't know what's good. There are so many choices.
I have always been a sharp cheddar guy. So extra sharp cheddar is my fav. I just had some Old Croc that was pretty tasty and tried some applewood gruyere.
Dubliner is another good cheese but was almost too sharp.

I've never had a Brie cheese. Is it totally different from cheddars?

I know nothing about cheese, but I have been killing some jalapeno Munster here lately.

No such thing as too sharp, imo.

I love funky cheeses. I like hard cheeses better than soft.

Cheddar is great, but I really like to eat the Italian cheeses in small slices with maybe some chips and salsa and a Crown and Coke.

My all time favorite is Piave. Just eat it in little slivers. It's almost too strong to grate onto pizza or spaghetti, although I have done it.

I brought home a ton of different cheeses from a booth at a wine festival in Colorado this fall. I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.

Central Market has an awesome cheese section.

I've been eating a lot of Jabanero Jack lately. It has a little bit of a kick and goes well with a Triscuit cracker and a slice of pepperoni.

Yup and they will give you samples... One of my all time favorites is Red Dragon:

Red Dragon is a Welsh Cheddar with wholegrain mustard seeds and Welsh ale, coated in a bright red wax. This gourmet cheese combines the subtle sharpness and depth of natural mustard with the mild, piquant taste notes of the Welsh ale and traditional Cheddar.
Red Dragon is a buttery and spicy cheese with plenty of bite, but is not too hot, not only do the mustard seeds give Red Dragon its marvelous flavor, but also its texture. Red Dragon is aged for 3 months.
