It's OK and as mentioned below it's above average especially when you look at how much they charge for their "buffet". I've been there maybe half a dozen times because it's sorta near the office and a lot of people from work live in the area. But I wouldn't consider it award winning BBQ regardless of what they have posted on the wall.

I was pretty sure there wouldn't be a line but that's good to know. Maybe if you go up there around opening time you might catch us up there.

Agreed. Certainly better than Colter's or Dickey's.

Best of luck to you on your purchase. You need to check out Pecan Lodge next.

Went to the Hutchins in Frisco on Saturday and got brisket, sausage and 2 sides. The brisket was very good. Had a nice bark on it with a perfect amount of fat and great flavoring. The sausage was also very good.

How was the house you looked at? First time in the area?

I always have to ask if the food I'm eating is any good. If it's not $19 a pound and I don't have to wait in line for 3 hours I just assume it's terrible until someone tells me otherwise.

I'm honestly surprised. I haven't been to the original location in a few years but I've been to the one in Roanoke a few times as it's near my office. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience there and it's at least at the very top of my top 10 of BBQ places in DFW.
