Since breaking every bone in my elbow one year I have stayed off upright style bikes. I had to sell my Cannondale because of the burn in my elbow it would cause. Now that being said I have just recently realized this is not the case with mountain and hybrid bikes. I am in loveeeee with the Trek FX series bikes and now I may have to revist mountain bike riding. Tried it when I was first getting in shape years ago and it almost killed me. I remember it being over a hundred and I thought I would take a stroll on the Cedar Hill trail. I also remember getting off the bike and laying down on the trail for a minute. LOL A guy went by me on the trail and he knew I was in bad shape pushing my bike along. As I was regaining my composure and finding a way off the trail I remember a helicopter starting up in the air and as soon as they saw me riding it went right back down and shut down. It is time for me to try that bad boy again on my terms.

Looks like so far, 32vfromhell, threefingerpete if he's in town, a non board buddy, and myself. Of course, anybody else wanting to go is welcome!

Looks like it'll be northshore. I say we start at MADD park.

IDEK, I just remember being on the organizations website and it's just became a habit

We went up there and walked it for a few minutes to see what it's all about... I doubt I'd have fun being the gearing I have is 25/9...don't have multiple gears to get up those hills so it would be a lot of down time spent walking up those hills. Looks awesome though.

Yes, that was it, I stand corrected. It was pretty cool going through the woods. except our bikes are not made for that, so it was interesting. Made it all the way through and finished.. looked at the sign and said "EKG...more like EK pussy... Never rode mtb trails before just bmx trails, skateparks and alot alot alot of street.

Cedar Hill looks interesting with the 3, 8, and 12 mile trail DORBA... don't know if I'd make it through on my ride though.. not used to riding over roots from trees every other second.. had to keep j-hopping over them lol.

I'd be interested in a MTB gtg. I've already rode with Adam, Ryan, and BJ from the board. I usually ride Northshore, but have ridden most of the trails around here.

I checked out "Fun Town" last weekend when I went down there with my lady, (she rides too), fun town was gay as hell LOL. There's a trail in RL called EKG I believe, we did that and then I realized a few minutes through "this is def a mtb park", but we continued to trek through it anyways. Made it through on bmx bikes, more like the EKpussy trail!! I'm making my own trails out at my gparents farm in Ennis... out in the wooded area.. Here are a few pics.

If I was closer I would be down. When I was in DFW I usually road RL or Cedar Hill since I lived off of 360, I did go on a DORBA trip to Arkansas to ride 3 or 4 years ago awesome trails up there, just too damn hot and humid.

If any of yall are ever out in West Texas check out the San Angelo State Park, tons of trails probably around 40 miles worth.
