A major issue we don't hear about, is only about 56% of black men are employed. They began keeping track of that stat in '74, and it's the worst in history. Now THAT is an issue he can hang his hat on, especially being a black POTUS that was going to look after his people.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of that percentage is willfully unemployed, actively trying to find a job, straight up trying to ride the gravy train and/or makes more money on government benefits then wherever they could get employed.

as for governor good hair, ch. 8 reported that he was invited to meet the president in el paso but declined and instead asked the president to come to austin, which obama declined. my opinion, the president was here to talk border security, a major issue in here in texas, perry should have showed up and voiced his opinion in person to the president.

Obama inviting Perry to meet probably meant "come out to the tarmac in El Paso, 8 hours from Austin, and shake my hand when I get off the plane. Save anything you have to say or give for one of my aids".

If you were forced to pay into a program designed to help you in a disaster and had a disaster wouldn't you expect the program to help you? It's like paying $2000 a year for home owner's insurance, having your house burn down and and instead of filing a claim you start rebuilding out of your own pocket.

If the federal government would do their jobs and secure our border and start helping with all the illegal aliens already here maybe Perry wouldn't need to ask for a handout? Texas spends billions every year paying for the health care and education of illegals and using the national guard, DPS and state police to try and keep peace in border towns.

Or we could put Amtrak to good use by filling their north bound trains up with illegals and dropping them off in Chicago. It's government subsidized anyways and of virtually no use to Texans and disproportionately benefits our friends up north.
