I'm not talking about the time in office vs. vacation, rather the timing of the vacation.

Correct, that is my main beef. Our country is circling the drain as we type this and all he can do is deflect to "the previous administration," and be M.I.A.. I guess it really doesn't matter, he doesn't do anything worth a shit when he is there. Blah.

I never had a problem with Bush being in crawford, I said the same thing, the office of the president is anywhere the president happens to be.

The economy is fucked, 4 war fronts and he is sitting at one of the most expensive island resorts in the country.

Lacks tact and class. We all know he couldn't care less (unless it involves a re-election), but come on!

At least he's not flying off to Ireland to try some fresh Guinness again, or in Hawaii. We're broke, even the president has to cut back on his vacation expenses.

Hell, the more he stays out of the office and off the TV the better we do. I have always said that GOVERNMENT GRIDLOCK is the best hope for the private sector.

You guys don't know the whole story. He could be paying for all of his own expenses, plus the money for his security plus their expenses, and paid for the fuel to fly him there, and paid for the pilots that flew the plane.......
