In less then 10 years I bet phones in your car will be. They already are in school zones.Originally posted by Treasure Chest View PostThis senerio also plays out when people text and drive, so by this logic, cell phones should be criminalized.
Also, that was just an example of the fact that it does more then people say.

It's really a moot point. Drugs like benedryl can be a factor in an accident, but they're not illegal. The fact is that that pot is as clinically viable as SCORES of other "legal" drugs out there, but it's been criminalized for little justifiable purpose. Whether it's pot, benedryl, alcohol, controlled substances, food, ect, people should be accountable for their actions, rather than letting the goverment decide what should and should not be available.Originally posted by Venix View PostIn less then 10 years I bet phones in your car will be. Scenario: Are you also against alcohol? Alcohol has horrible health issues if abused - should we ban it also? You said "but to me it is just as bad or worse then any other abused drug".Originally posted by Venix View PostI didn't read everything because there is not much a point, lol. However, all of the "alcohol is so perfect and nothing bad ever happens to anyone because of it" people are idiots. I personally know lots of people who were not on anything other then alcohol and have wrecked their cars, and were 100% at fault. Two of them even ended up in the ICU because the driver who was drunk off his ass drove right off the road into a tree in someones front yard.
People can say w.e they want about it, but to me it is just as bad or worse then any other abused drug, including prescription drugs. People as a whole have zero self control and only care about themselves and how "drunk" they can get. Evey thing else takes a second place. I cant even name a 20 people out of the hundreds I know that do not drink, and because they do, I refuse to be around them. I am hoping for natural selection to kick in for the most of them =)
So I agree with those against it, and am for MUCH more strict use of prescription drugs. Seems like every teenager in the world has xanax now.
Perhaps the issue is one of individual responsibility and not the availability of the drug itself.

I personally know lots of people who were not on anything PERIOD and have wrecked their cars, and were 100% at fault. Therefor, by your logic, sobriety is dangerous.Originally posted by Venix View PostI personally know lots of people who were not on anything other then weed and have wrecked their cars, and were 100% at fault.

Yes I am. I don't like any of it. That however is just not the topic.Originally posted by mikeb View PostScenario: Are you also against alcohol? Alcohol has horrible health issues if abused - should we ban it also? You said "but to me it is just as bad or worse then any other abused drug".

i think all girls pull that card, in my experience. and i don't fuss with the reggie bush.Originally posted by bcoop View PostI have a friend that swore up and down she couldn't get stoned. So we tried it, several times, and I still have my doubts that she wasn't stoned. She just didn't know what to expect, is my theory. Like dragons were going to drop from the sky or some shit.
Anyhow, one day I had some good. Like real good... Anyways, I told her to take a puff or three. For an hour she insisted she didn't feel any different. Then immediately after saying that, she said something about her front mouth. So my work was done.

Each of those branches have their own power, enumerated in the Constitution. What are you having trouble with? No branch has any power not expressly mentioned. Do try reading the Constitution. The legislature had no POWER to create the law, the Judiciary had no POWR to uphold the law and Executive has no POWER to enforce it. They have no jurisdiction.Originally posted by 46Tbird View PostHello McFly. The first three Articles of the Constitution establish a federal Legislative, Judicial, and EXECUTIVE branch.
It's not a power grab. The legislature created the law, the judiciary upheld the law, and now the executive agencies are enforcing the law.
Please explain your stance further.
Prove me wrong. Show me in the Constitution where it gives the federal government the right and power to legislate drugs.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

Slam dunk, IMO.Originally posted by Treasure Chest View PostMy child is autistic. There have actually been quite a few studies on the benefits of cooking with marijuana for kids with ADHD, Autism, and other neurological conditions. If my child was to the point of being heavily medicated, yes, I would look at natural alternatives, but luckily, he's not in need of medication.
In a hypothetical situation, from a common sense standpoint, in a world where marijuana was legal, say your child has severe ADHD. Would you feel more comfortable cooking with marijuana at a physician's recommendation, or would you feel more comfortable giving your child lab produced meth-amphetamines?
You don't sound like a dumbass on the topic, you've proven you are one!Originally posted by Venix View Postyou sound like a winner!

46Tbird on the other hand is capable of distinguishing between the responsible use of an item. Remember, not everyone is a degenerate that has no common sense. You shouldn't legislate for the lowest common denominator, you should impose penalties that the lowest common denominator doesn't want to deal with, creating an effective deterrent.

El Chico vs. Poole set precedent in Texas that individuals aren't responsible for their choices or limitations, the bartenders serving them are ultimately responsible for their behavior...it's complete bullshit.Originally posted by mikeb View PostScenario: Are you also against alcohol?
