The government has the power to take down websites where illegally downloaded stuff is being made accessible. That should be everyones clue that this is horse shit. Our government is concerned with people downloading music and movies and shutting down those sites, but when it comes to Alleged "classified documents" being broadcast all of sudden their power to do something about it is nonexistent, go figure.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....the websites are in other countries dude.

to be guilty of espionage you have to obtain the information illegally. the information was given to him with out him asking for it.

It's all bullshit propaganda. All of the "leaks" just support the agenda of more wars and that Israel is right in everything they say and do. It's horse shit. The powers that be would have stomped this crap out before you ever heard of it If it was really a credible threat to anything/anyone.

There are world wide implications for what Assange did that could potentially affect us all.

he not an american, he is not on our side, so why should he be expected to keep our secrets?

one of our guys stole the info and gave it to him, what was he suppose to do with it. most spy's would sell that information, or try to extort the US with that information, he gave it away.

and why is no one upset at the New York Times? they have an exclusive deal in place witch allows them to publish wikileaks in their paper. the new york times is an american business under our protection, yet they published the material as well.

however the guy who stole the information and released it did commit a crime.
