Youth is the highest by percentage that will vote in the online poll, however youth is the lowest turnout by percentage at the actual polls. So, you should expect that. That's why vesting heavily in the youth vote usually gets you 2nd place - IE: The democrats 2004 strategy.Originally posted by majorownage View PostVoted.
Paul with 7% lead. This will be funny when the Iowa numbers come out showing Paul lost by ~2%. Just my prediction.Last edited by CJ; 01-03-2012, 04:03 PM."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

Drudge is visted by a huge amount of people. Its a very good population to sample from. I just understand the caucus is rigged.Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostYouth is the highest by percentage that will vote in the online poll, however youth is the lowest turnout by percentage at the actual polls. My point is Ron Paul's vote is HIGHLY weighted towards youth. Youth is statistically the hardest to get turnout from. It is the risk you take vesting in it. So, the Paul campaign should expect their polling is roughly 20-30% over inflated.Originally posted by majorownage View PostDrudge is visted by a huge amount of people. And yet the youth takes the blame/credit/whatever you want to call it for the 2008 election?Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostYouth is the highest by percentage that will vote in the online poll, however youth is the lowest turnout by percentage at the actual polls. I get what you're saying, but wasn't Obama's election highly weighted towards the youth vote?Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostMy point is Ron Paul's vote is HIGHLY weighted towards youth. I am giving an example of what can happen when you are heavily vested in the youth vote. Remember the democrat's attempt with "Get out the vote" and P Diddy's "Vote or Die" etc.. etc.. BS. They never showed up to the polls.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostAnd yet the youth takes the blame/credit/whatever you want to call it for the 2008 election?
2008 they were not heavily vested in the youth vote, nor did they need to be."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

But it can swing the other way quite violently. I think the biggest difference between the youths that Paul attracts and the youths that Obama and the left have tended to attract is that Paul's supporters are far more politically active and savvy than the left's.Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostI am giving an example of what can happen when you are heavily vested in the youth vote. If I understand history correctly, obsama was voted in by the youth vote. That is, at least, how the media has portrayed it. You, as a student of history, understand that point well. No? Is it not possible that the youth vote swings two successive votes?
