You're ignoring that Christians (followers of Christ) are under the New Testament that views women as someone to be highly valued and even the worst in society to be treasured. Islam on the other hand has the old peaceful ways put aside by the pedophile that bastardized it. They actively behead, mutilate, stone to death and honor kill women and anyone who decides not to believe. Christians are murdered in Iran today. When was the last time someone was killed in christ's name?

While some of the problems in the middle east were exacerbated by actions taken during the Cold War by a myriad of countries (US, France, Soviet Union, China, UK), you are not going to sell anyone on the premise that the specific root cause of world wide Islamic extremism in the 21st century is the sole action of US and UK administrations in the 1950s.

Look at Waco he didn't murder people but his extreme religious views were way out of the mainstream.
