Ron Paul was on fire tonight in the debate....

Most Paul voter will write him in.. most other peoples canidates would go straight Republican if their Guy doesn't get the nomination. Paul will pull in more swing voters and Democrats. Maybe I'm blind but is Paul really that hated, that no one will vote for him? His numbers seem very good in the polls, and I bet will keep getting better. It seems the media is scared(a little less as time goes on) of old Ron.

I guess we can agree to disagree, I don't think all straight-line repub voters will vote for him. There will be many that have heavy reservations about his foreign policy, etc etc, enough to either write someone else in (as similar to the post I quoted) or not even bother to show up to vote.

Fox news was doing kind of a profile on him with Raun Paul as his rep. There were about 30 people in the room asking questions. The host asked the audience how many people agreed with his domestic policies. Everyon raised their hands. He has asked the audience how many people agreed with his foreign policies. 3 people raised their hand. It was pretty telling.

They are going to support their party when given the honest chance of R or D. The voters that will make the biggest difference are swing voters and independants and that is where RP can kick Romney or Santorums ass.

Or democrats for that matter. Or people who arent officially either party. Voter turnout in this country is abysmal and while its in effect a two party system there is not in the population. (ie swing, undecided, etc)

There needs to be a canidate that has support of the base, as well as one that can get support from the middle. When you have a fringe canidate, no matter how popular he is to you, he may not have the draw to be electable.

If we were voting for a guy to make sure there wasn't any gold teeth, or malt liquor, or fried chicken, or pimps, would you vote for a black guy with gold teeth and a cane and a long fur robe? He had a decent night. He sure ducked and deflected the whole newsletter issue. He immediately brought Rosa Parks (?) and MLK into the mix. It was like a guy getting caught at a KKK rally, and saying some of his best friends are black. LMAO.

He isn't ducking or deflecting anything. He's already answered that question on every single tv and talk radio show he's been on. He doesn't support those statements that were written and he's said that on several occasions. The bought and paid for media has not given it a rest though, even though they are well aware of his stance on it. This is all they have besides the name calling of him they do. It's a pathetic attempt to grasp at something that is nothing. Nothing new for the shills in the media. A real player with a proven track record is up there for the people, he can't be bought or changed, and it's obviously scaring the shit out the people who really run this place.
