I saw a blurb about how his ratings were lower now in Texas than ever before. The polls were done by 5 large newspapers. Any flaws in that? Name the major cities in Texas, and every one of them carried Obama...Dallas, Ft. Woth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. His numbers were barely unfavorable even then. If the Texas economy holds up, he'll be tough to beat. If not, zombie Ann Richards could make a come-back.

Who runs against Perry in two years? I have a feeling that the king will be dethroned then.

Theres plenty of audio about him backing gun control in Jersey.Originally posted by StanleyJustinTaliwhacker95 View PostChristie seems anti union, anti overpay. So he gets my vote at least on those two issues. He comes off as the "No bullshit" type. Please explain how he is liberal on any other issues. I have not heard him talk about everything, such as immigration or gun control. Even though gun control really isn't an issue since its guaranteed by the constitution, technically. I don't consider it one or recognize it as one, anyway.
Drudge just reported today, that Christie just appointed the first openly gay, black state supreme court judge. Take that for what it is.Last edited by Vertnut; 01-23-2012, 05:48 PM.

He favors some gun control laws in New Jersey, he's soft on illegals, and he flip-flops on the climate change issue. What do you think?Originally posted by Slowhand View PostThe hard line conservatives are going to vote against Obama either way, and Christie on the ballot would net a lot more moderates than anyone else. Although I'm not sure how Christie is a liberal republican; I guess that title gets slammed on any conservative actually working towards smaller government and civil liberties and not just beating their chest with rhetoric about it?

The running mate needs to come from outside of the race this year. Too much dirty laundry in a group of candidates that don't know how to keep their mouths shut.
