I don't see good and evil as a similar scale to heat and/or light. There are points of absolute zero entropy or absolute zero light, as theoretical as they may be. Good and evil don't have such clear ends.

I think the best questions to discuss this topic are already highlighted in those videos. Not just "why does evil exist" but "is there so such thing as good and evil". After that comes, "if good and evil do exist, is good from God?"
Personally, I think good and evil are too subjective and too based on perspective to actually exist as absolutes.

I still have a problem with questions worded like this because they're still based on a presupposition. Call me a stickler for the details.Originally posted by exlude View PostI think the best questions to discuss this topic are already highlighted in those videos. Yes. The question presupposes god exists. You can word the question like that, but only after god has been proven to exist. As it stands, the question should read "If good and evil do exist, what causes good?" That question has no presupposition built into it, and allows the question to be correctly answered and not attributed to something that has yet to be proven.Originally posted by exlude View PostWhat is that presupposition? If you're going to say that the question is assuming God exists, I disagree.
