Why worry? Your going to die of something some time down the road.
If a group of people, no matter the affiliation, comes for you and your family, defend you and yours period. There is no greater honor in dying protection your family, blood or other wise. And if you survive the ordeal, you will live to do it again, or pass the courage on to the next generation. And you could also pass on how stupid a race war is, or how bad big brother is.

To be honest, the only thing you should fear, is not being ready to protect your family.
