Christians having a dependant, interpersonal relationship with Jesus are fine with me, since that is where their Faith has taken them. My opinion is that the relationship any one individual has with Jesus is going to be unique for that individual, however Jesus Himself remains and will remain the same regardless, and there will thus be some commonality among believers.

My opinion is that the relationship any one individual has with Jesus is going to be unique to that individual, however Jesus Himself remains and will remain the same regardless.

Their faith taking them there is self evident. I don't care much for the idea; I think it is a bit egocentric.

Putting Jesus first in their life isn't in question so much as believing that God tends to every facet of their lives. I suppose micromanaging people's lives isn't beyond the scope of an omniscient being, but I can't imagine interference in some of the minutia that people give God credit for.

Edit: maybe to further clarify, it seems egocentric that one would expect that level of management. I hear the phrase God's plan, and God working through me, and so on and wonder if people's desires don't manifest under false auspices of God's doings.

God does tend to every facet of our lives, if we choose to allow Him to do so, and it's not interference by Him in the minutia of our lives if He has been invited in is it? The reason one could expect that level of management is that through God, all things are possible down to the smallest details.

I look at it kind of like a supercomputer. It's more than capable of running everything in the network and some. However it's up to the individual user whether they want the AI to auto run over their personal system to assist in preventing mistakes and crashes.
