You want free speech? No problem! Just pay this $1000 annual tax and free speech is yours! But there's just one thing... Because we're taxing you, we have the right to tell you what qualifies as free speech!
You want a firearm? Be my guest! You'll only need to pay a $5000 annual tax per firearm owned! How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

I didn't realize the fines were so much. In part of the opinion is says "The payment is not so high that there is really no choice but to buy health insurance;...". I would have to disagree with that statement."A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

$2000 for the whole year doesn't look like much when you spend $6000 a year.

Article I, Section 7 states that all revenue bills shall originate in the House of Representatives.
SCOTUS, while upholding it, just said that the Obamacare individual mandate is a tax despite dems adamantly insiting it was not a tax when they ramrodded it through.
Obamacare, which is a tax per SCOTUS, originated in the Senate in 2009 circumventing the Constituion (big surpise, right?).
Opened the door for another SCOTUS challenge in the near future?
