Iranians are reasonable people who want to be left alone and live their life; they don't want a war. But the more provoke them, the more they will support their crazy ass governing officials.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad contradicted your statement on October 27, 2005.

And Obama's failure to get in on things during the Iranian uprising a year or so ago

Me a non-conformist? Nah man, you got that wrong. I am definitely my own person. I just started questioning the whole GOPer thing when I was 17 and one thing led to another. Shit, I didn't even skeet skeet to infowars until 2-3 years ago, I just knew Drudge ocasionally linked them, and I really liked their articles. Did I pick them out to be anti-conformist? No...

In fact, I remember YOU were the one I called out for googling. So please, take a big chug of your own medecine.
Outside of googling, you have no concept of how or even when relations between the U.S. and Iran began going south, or the subsequent events that led to the current state of affairs between the two countries. Thus, any postings you grace us with on the matter are as worthless as used toilet paper. Any jackass can google, as you so aptly prove.

Are we going to base things based on college experience?

You are the most predictable of any person I've ever encountered. You are a straight line non-confirmist, you will choose whichever is the least accepted path and take it, not for the sake of a genuine pursuit, but simply for attention. In every single thread you do this, and it's entirely to attention whore. I could sit here and poke at your concept but it would be a huge waste of time, because in the end it would be the same as all of your other points of view, completely uneducated. After several hours we were determine you really don't know anything about the history of Iran, our previous intricacies, or even the basics of the current confrontation. You'd just google your way through it and declare yourself a genius. I'm sure in a real in person discussion you would be completely lost. If you actually spent more time learning and less time blathering you'd come off as a lot more intelligent.

These assholes shove their ability to do whatever they want right in our face, constantly. They make veiled threats and we cower (in this case, we've reduced our Persian Gulf presence).

What we need is a President who's a little bit off his rocker. I'd LOVE to see a press conference where our President looks blankly at the screen containing Amenijidad's face and says, "I'm just gonna let you know that if, you know, you do something fucking stupid like block off the Strait of Hormuz that we're gonna have to, you know, sink every Iranian boat we find. Just sayin'. Oh and if you touch our bases anywhere and you know, kill innocent soldiers and US citizens, we will have to you know, drop a bunker buster into a city of yours for every base you hit. Just to be fair & all... we will draw the names of the cities out of a hat while the planes are airborne. It'll be like a game, we can call it the Iranian Bombing Lottery. We'll even use one of those big spinning baskets to make it visually pleasing. We can even let the Iranian TV stations broadcast it on a 5 minute delay, so that the cities name we draw has 5 minutes to evacuate. So I hope we're all on the same page when I say if you even fart in the water by the strait, I'm going to bomb the ever-loving shit out of you, ya stupid asshole."
Thats why I should be president! I would just Nuke em & no problems from them anymore
