The Bible was written and translated (incorrectly in many cases) by men, you know.

Some accept the Bible as the infallable Word of God (as do I) and find that His true message comes through regardless of translation. Personally I prefer the King James version. Others, as you posted, may believe that since the Bible was written by men and translated incorrectly in many cases it is no longer relevant. If so, subsequent research into the original texts built upon earlier research (in much the same manner in which science advances upon earlier research) should progressively yield translations that more closely reflect the original writings.
