Yes. And? I have been all around the world as a Marine. I chose to come here as a civilian in 2006 taking a pretty sizeable paycut to do so in order to support the efforts of the troops. Who by the way are here on a voluntary basis. That paycut has righted itself through hard work and experience.

And I can say that I have actually been HERE, after 6 years, 35 camps and having travelled all over Afghanistan in every form of transportation other than a mule. I have had the pleasure of meeting a lot of Afghani's and can tell you that without us here, they are fucked and doomed to be thrown back into the 1990's all over again. We have provided them a better life and I hate to say that no matter the winner next week, we will be abandoning them, again. No fault to our efforts though, they are so corrupt from the top down it is scary. It is a shame actually.

It no wonder your all for us being there, you have a vested interest in it. It's how you make big bucks. But IMO you making big bucks doesn't outweigh the risk of even one troop getting injured or killed in a no win situation. Per your words as soon as we pull out it is going to return to the 1990's no matter what. Brainfreeze is all for O pulling everyone out immediately no matter what the consequences. My opinion is that although we should never have been there to start with, we need a gradual pullout so they at least have a chance to save themselves.
