Just give up now............there is no way you will change their mind or their perception of the Health Care Laws that "BOTH" house and senate voted in. GOP majority in the house when this was voted in I might add.

        Nope.

The GOP house even passed a bill to overturn it in 2012, but the dumbascrap senate would never hear it.

You mean the bill that the Senate bastardized and gutted? The bill to help veterans buy homes? That bill?

The Senate failed to take up debate on the House bill and instead took up H.R. 3590, a bill regarding housing tax breaks for service members.[180] As the United States Constitution requires all revenue-related bills to originate in the House,[181] the Senate took up this bill since it was first passed by the House as a revenue-related modification to the Internal Revenue Code. The bill was then used as the Senate's vehicle for their health care reform proposal, completely revising the content of the bill.[182] The bill as amended incorporated elements of earlier proposals that had been reported favorably by the Senate Health and Finance committees.

Depends entirely on the franchise. More do than don't. Some are written where you have to stay within a certain percentage.

First weekly jobless claims number came in today and they blamed it all on the hurricane and "the fiscal cliff". It is going to be interesting to see what happens as the weeks go by. If the number of claims continues to climb the media is going to have to get pretty creative with their lies.

I believe there are a lot of people that are going to get walking papers by the end of the year. Or reduced hours. The stock market is already showing you what is coming, an economy with a GDP growth below 1%. But don't tell the Obamatards that though, they are too busy making sure the world is fair.

Reduced hours, cut vacations and/or other benefits, cut pay/bonuses... there is so much that is about to happen that won't reflect on the jobless claims report.

My favorite part is the VIX, the gauge of uncertainty. Supposedly we have all this uncertainty that is out there because of "the fiscal cliff!" and yet the VIX hasn't really gone up that much. We aren't far from a correction and yet there it is, right in the 18-19 range. That says to me that people are pretty certain that re-electing this dumbfuck is going to result in four more shitty years. This isn't a fear based sell off, this is just an orderly withdrawal of capital back to mattresses and safety deposit boxes.

Funny you mention that. I have been extremely cash-heavy these past 8 months or so. You know I'm not a fan of this fiat currency, but with the dollar as strong as it is, whattaya gonna do?

The owner of my company today said he was pretty sure another recession was going to happen but that he thought we would be ok.

He also said he was going to get nailed on taxes and raised healthcare costs and would have to see how bad it is before he could continue to expand the company.

Sounded like he was trying to be optimistic but there was def uncertainty in his words. Funny watching the people we are pretty sure voted for Blowbama fidget.

High quality companies that can survive, my friend. If we get a recession, which I feel is almost a certainty just based on the election results, the first thing to take a huge dump will be your cyclical industrials like CAT, CMI and ETN. They will also lead us out of the other side. We got a long way to fall though. Most of these will fall by another 50% at the first real recession datapoint, just my opinion.
