I don't doubt for a minute that the big city libtards will take what hand they are dealt. There will be bloodshed in the South though, I am certain of it. A lot of crazies will go all in on this issue.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Yes, but it will have to be a real military force that will really push people.Originally posted by bcoop View PostYou mean like how it was for a month after 9/11? Where nearly every house had a flag flying, and various patriotic bumper stickers? Everyone was friendly, worried about more than their own, and stuck together? People tend to forget how quickly all that shit disappeared, and how quickly everyone stopped giving a fuck once they returned to their precious American Idol, etc. America has an A.D.D and a short term memory problem. I also think self serving interests are at the highest levels they've ever been. I don't see that happening again, and even if it were to happen, it would be right back to Honey Boo Boo because none of the other stuff affects them.
You believing there are enough citizens to commit a full scale revolt is laughable. Like Bcoop said, there aren't enough people to make a dent in that scenario.Originally posted by jayjohnson600 View PostYou might be overlooking the point that enemies don't have to be external/foreign.

It wouldn't need to be a "full scale revolt" to get the 'shtf' event rolling. I think an event not larger than the Branch Davidian fiasco in Waco would do it.Originally posted by mstng86 View Post

My opinion is that one small event could set it off. Something from this regime, like 0bama doing a weapon ban like NY via EO.

I was taking my CHL renewal this past weekend and the instructors got pretty far off on a tangent concerning the government and pending action against guns (and other freedoms). One of them said something along the lines of "The crazies are always talking crazy. There is always the fringe. The majority of us just keep our heads down, go to work, get kicked in the teeth, and go home. Grin and take it. Real change is going to start when those are the people that start saying the things that the crazies have been saying. I think that is starting to happen." A couple minutes later one of the ladies that works there was talking about shooting UN troops on her porch.Originally posted by Broncojohnny View PostI don't doubt for a minute that the big city libtards will take what hand they are dealt. tl;dr I agree that people will violently resist at some point.

Accept it and move on, no sense in getting worked up over things you can't change.
Unfortunately I think you are both right, the Gov is smart enough to do this in baby steps. The sheep will just follow along until it is too late. Those that would fight will be unorganized and ineffective. I know some members on this board, myself included will fight. But it will not really do much. Then you will have those that run to the mountains, which will be rough to stay hidden in this day and age. I doubt that they will last long, those that try to fight it out in the cities will run out of food and water really quick.Originally posted by Broncojohnny View PostI don't doubt for a minute that the big city libtards will take what hand they are dealt. The Gov has us where they want us.

When the moderates in our country become as divided as now, it is time to really start worrying. Shit is on the path to get bad quick, it just needs a spark. the 0bama regime attempting to legislate via EO will be that spark. And how America goes, so goes the rest of the world. When the SHTF here, it will throw this entire world into chaos. Most people are oblivious to how fast this situation could dissolve into chaos, but the 0bama regime does, and that is why they are placing their chess pieces in place right now.

I think that most people don't realize how pro gun this country is. This is a very lopsided issue. People won't stand for any sort of confiscation program at all. Look at the number of people joining the NRA. I don't care for them all that much but I signed up for a lifetime membership today.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

People really do underestimate the amount/type of person who is pro gun.Originally posted by Broncojohnny View PostI think that most people don't realize how pro gun this country is. It wouldn't take a big spark right now to get things rolling. A lot of people are on the edge, be it financially or mentally. The last four years have seen zero improvement in my opinion. A lot of people have had a change in lifestyle that they never imagined they would see. A large part of this country has been fucked so hard they wake up wondering if there is a way out. When it is the same entity doing all the reaming, you eventually get tired of getting the shaft without even a courtesy spit. We are at this point.

Most democrats are anti gun. Democrats are the majority. Seems to me they are doing what their constituents want.Originally posted by Baba Ganoush View PostThis is where I am lost. For the most part, the same ones that pushed it through in 1994.Originally posted by Baba Ganoush View PostThis is where I am lost. Where is the push for legislation coming from? Who the hell are legislators working for?
The real reason? Power. Control. You put someone on food stamps, you control what they eat. TANF? You control what they buy. Section 8 housing? Where they live. Their guns? Their ability to stand up for their rights.

Not all Democrats are anti-gun though. The anti-gun crowd is a minority in the US.Originally posted by bcoop View PostMost democrats are anti gun. Democrats are the majority. Seems to me they are doing what their constituents want.
