I think that most people don't realize how pro gun this country is. This is a very lopsided issue. People won't stand for any sort of confiscation program at all. Look at the number of people joining the NRA. I don't care for them all that much but I signed up for a lifetime membership today.

I don't think the spark would actually catch fire. As much as I hate to say it the people who would "fight" for their rights would be called terrorist. Also highly unorganized. My opinion is that there is a number of people that choose to not watch ANY news source, the same ones that are sick of hearing about politics and are mad that "Dancing With The Stars" is getting less airtime on the news. The screwed up thing is those same fuckers are voting.

A sad statistic I was told while in AZ. 10% of the U.S. population are pro-gun hunters. 10% are anti-gun, and 80% are the uncaring imbeciles that don't care either way, and generally only act on emotion.
