Ron Paul > you... at least he is a medical doctor

I kind of agree with him. Treatment for PTSD probably should be held in a doctors office, not on a live firing range. If this was just recreation and not a "treatment" of PTSD then Paul's comments shouldnt even offend you.

Which are an incredible minority of soldiers with PTSD that do not react badly. I have access to quite a bit of equipment and you don't see me on CNN shooting up towers. PTSD augments parts of your personality and you modify it with a TBI and you get some interesting combinations however, the blanket statement that those of us with PTSD are dangerous and shouldn't have weapons?

    That sir, is bullshit

Also, why is your post dated 2-7-12 when this happened a few days ago?

You take just about everything that has to do with the military personally.

At least you're thinking logically. With todays legal system you have to treat shit like this very carefully. At the risk of sounding like an asshole...get a grip. You're not the only soldier with PTSD and I'm sure that there are mixed emotions among those that do.

Paul pretty much said that those of us who served deserve to die because we fought with weapons, we deserve to die by them. Fuck Paul. Kyle understood that a soldier with a weapon feels safe. That weapon is part of us as much as a hand or a leg. When we get out of the service we're disarmed. When we're rated with PTSD we're treated as paraiahs. Fuck that. Kyle was helping his brother get better. The fact that his brother snapped and killed him is a different story.

With shit like that all you can do is apologize for what somebody else did. You're taking this very personally and while it's understandable you know as well as I do that Paul didn't post that shit.

Again...do you honestly think Paul hears of a current event and think "Holy shit I can't wait to tweet a smartass comment about this."?

If you guys dont understand that giving a loaded gun to someone who is being treated for PTSD or "unstable" might go wrong, you are an idiot. You dont give drugs to a drug addict or a razor blade to a cutter. This is simply a risk that must have crossed Kyle's mind.

I find it hard to believe a 77 year old tweets much.

I totally agree. However, like every soldier, he just went where he was told. We never get a choice in the matter.
