Dude, it may just be a drop down option on a computer menu. Senior staff might be an easy way to differentiate them from others on board, for the benefit of the crew, and the Secret Service. Occam's razor, old chap.

I'd have to see proof of your hypothesis. While it's not a smoking gun, it does fit into the given evidence of a president so drunk on power that he believes nothing applies to him, that he and his family are royalty with rules that can be bent to fit whatever he wants.

Unfortunately, evidence supporting the original hypothesis, that they're paid staff, is all I'm asking for.

So, either they lied on the paperwork to defraud taxpayers or they are stupid enough to call their children staff

Possibly, but it may be something as simple as an automated system with a bad or limited drop down selection. They may have been categorized as staff because there wasn't a, "president's kids," selection on the menu. It might be easier to lump them in with White House staff in the computer, to differentiate them from press and other guests. I just don't see the evidence that points to them being paid. I need a record of payment, not just an obscure listing in a passenger manifest for a flight. I don't like Obama, and I think stupid little attempts like this to snipe at his family distract from how big an evil fuck he really is, and let the rest of the political machine get away with mowing the world down for fun and profit.

Well Stevo, I feel as though I touched a nerve, your response comes off a bit mean spirited. I have not told anyone they are wrong, please if I have pull that quote and show it to me. I have not called you a single name or stated you are wrong, your entire statement above is attacking in nature in my opinion but lacks any factual information, it is your opinion to which you are entitled. I do find this site fun and inspiring, I learn things on this site so it has value. I agree everyone has an opinion, some I agree with, some I do not, that in itself does not make it right or wrong.

What if they listed you as staff, and you never even went on the trip? Would you be staff at that point?

I understand the definition of staff. What I don't understand is how listing them as staff, when they clearly are not, makes them staff.
