So if it was your wife, daughter, step daughter, cousin, etc who was raped and inpregnated-- say by a black man. Would that still be a "weak card" and she should still have the baby because the State of Texas said so?

Now, now, dont hate. There will always be an America, just plenty of people that either fear or dont like change. I`m sure you will appriciate it when you get too old to work that there will be social policies available to help you eat and provide you with medical care. Be sure to "Hug a Liberal" once you reach that point and realise that all the cutting, elimination, and/or privatizing of the Goverment as proposed by today`s Conservatives wasnt such a good idea.

No, I like it in Tyler despite it being the Mecca of Tea Partiers, Libertarians, and people that make a career out of getting a government check but "hate" the government. As a bonus we even have Louie Gohmert as our Congressman.

Even Glen Beck has called Tyler " The Conservative Capital of Texas ". Who knows, maybe even Rick Perry might move the capital here to get away from all those "crazy godless money stealing liberals".

What`s in it for me you ask? Getting to live in my hometown and watch ( with a front row seat mind you ) all the agony, wailing, knashing of teeth, sack cloth, and ashes that occurs after just about every federal election.

It's not your place to determine what someone does with their own body until the point of viability. They can wait until the day before and you should have no say in it. The 20 week timeline is bullshit pseudoscience. The facts are that no fetus has ever survived prior to 21 weeks 5 days, and even at that date it has only happened twice in recorded history.

People cannot legislate morality. Look at all forms of prohibition, that shit plain doesn't work.

SS junk, this bill isn't only about the 20 week deadline, it's also about the closure of all but 5-6 locations in the state that meet the new regulations, effectively banning abortions to all but a select portion of the population. You also need to prove that life begins at conception.

If pro choice people don't want to have an abortion, fine, don't have one, but don't you dare tell anyone else they can't have one prior to the point of viability. It's not your choice to make.

I liken this to the gay rights movement, in that people who don't like something are trying to dictate their likes or dislikes on others who do not share their opinion on the matter.

Abortions should be mandatory unless both parents have secured the proper license procreate and paid the applicable fees.

20 weeks. 4 months. Plenty of time to decide what to do.

Besides, isn't this a compromise? I don't like abortions. You do. You have 1/2 the time to decide to get an abortion. Pro-life gets the other half.

For those pills to work you typically have to consume them quite a bit sooner than that 20 week period, yet now you have to spend money on hospital visits with practicing physicians so that they can watch you swallow a pill? Most people in these situation do not have insurance, and even if they did, it would not be covered, so increasing the cost will reduce the possibility.

Seems like a way to prevent people from getting the abortion all together.
Crazy requirements? It's the same requirements as ANY OTHER surgery center. Clean operating rooms? That's crazy? Having a hospital lined up in case something goes wrong? That's crazy?

No murder? No stealing? No rape? Seems like plenty of laws on the books legislating morality already.
