I would rather be in hell than be a serf in heaven. I do not worship the being you call god while I'm alive, what makes you think I want to spend all of eternity kissing the feet of a being that is below me?Originally posted by 4.6coupe View Posthttp://jesus-loves-you.org/atheist-p...ng-conversion/
Could someone embed this please. Thanks.
I post these up because i dont want anyone to go to hell. We were all created by God and we have a choice to make in this lifetime. Thats all.
Who gives a fuck about the personal anecdotal experience of one person. It doesn't matter what they say if their results can't be reproduced, should I mention how susceptible the human mind is to hallucination? Get a bad enough chemical imbalance, hallucination. Get too hot. Hallucination. Take certain drugs. Hallucination.

Since when did salvation = serfdom?Originally posted by racrguy View PostI would rather be in hell than be a serf in heaven. When you spend a lifetime of servitude to reach salvation? Except Christians don't do that. They do whatever they want, say I'm sorry, and expect things to be A-Okay!Originally posted by Strychnine View PostSince when did salvation = serfdom?"Any dog under 50lbs is a cat and cats are pointless." - Ron Swanson

Acts and works do not get you into heaven, so where does the servitude come in?Originally posted by jdgregory84 View PostWhen you spend a lifetime of servitude to reach salvation? Except Christians don't do that. They do whatever they want, say I'm sorry, and expect things to be A-Okay!

I have a redress against those hypothetical other gods, and I can overthrow them. However, the god of the bible is supposedly infallible and all powerful, I have a big issue with things of that nature.Originally posted by Sean88gt View PostYou serve other gods here, so to speak. A ginger did it.Sean, we're you touched in the most unholy place in the most catholic way?
The arguments from the other side haven't gotten any better, so I haven't had to update my arguments. I think your plan of action is the easiest.Originally posted by ceyko View Posthehehe, should I just copy/paste the other 1001 threads on this subject or y'all going to do it all over again?

I will. Just like I could go serve at an old folks home today and be a fresh face to brighten their day, or I could go serve a teacher and help her setup her class for the upcoming schoolyear, or I could serve my wife and do some of her daily chore stuff so she could relax for an evening.Originally posted by racrguy View PostWill you, or will you not serve god in heaven?
Why does service = slavery to you?
Matthew 20:28
"just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Does this mean Jesus is a slave to me?

So as long as you rape and murder in the name of God you're good? Sweet. Maybe I should rethink this Christian thing after all."Any dog under 50lbs is a cat and cats are pointless." - Ron Swanson

It doesn't, but service that one can't stop performing is. You can stop helping the old people or your wife any time you choose to.Originally posted by Strychnine View PostI will.
