  • In post-soviet Russia...

They talk the talk AND walk the walk.
They have the national pride that WE used to have.
Oh, and they have some seriously hot wimmenz.

"In Russia live Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law. Russia does not need minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing that the minorities are not Russians."
    -Vladimir Putin

“Any fourth grade history student knows socialism has failed in every country, at every time in history... President Obama and his fellow Democrats are either idiots or deliberately trying to destroy their own economy.”
    -Vladimir Putin
"It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

Putin is a lot like Obama; he says he is not a socialist, bit I think he is a socialist.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

I really don't think he is. Maybe a bit of a fascist, but he seems to be very opposed to socialist ways. Could be a bit of an oligarchy in the making even.

My main point was that they have leadership that has national pride and doesn't want to be the watered-down, try-to-please-everyone nation that so many western nations (ours and the U.K., specifically) have become.

I'll give Putin at least he is outspoken and up front on his stances. I wish I could say that about anyone in our government body, be it on the large or small scale it's to much PC bullshit.

Are those verified quotes? It's just seems to awesome to be real...

I never imagined I'd live to see the day where the Russian leadership would be more reasonable than our own. We let it happen though.

Make no mistake: Putin is a bad sonuvabitch. He was a nasty KGB agent/officer. He is not above rigging elections (which he's been accused of) and still has the soviet-militant mindset. That being said, he still garners my respect.

Reading his National pride was awesome. Not saying I'd wanna live over there, but What's wrong with Americans looking out for Americans first and making immigrant adjust to us?

There seems to be a little disagreement on the accuracy of the first one. But the majority of sources do attribute it to Putin.
                    The second quote is confirmed.

Looks like Putin is only 98 years behind the U.S. I agree with it wholeheartedly though. If only we still thought this way.

"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all … The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic … There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else." - Teddy Roosevelt speaking to the largely Irish Catholic Knights of Columbus in 1915

Good in that finally someone with the worlds attention is saying it. Not good in that it even HAS to be said by a leader of a country that isn't our own.
