Putin is highly intelligent, and has so much more experience with internal and international affairs than Obama could ever hope to have.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostFunny how the "mad Russian" defused the situation almost effortlessly, as if by design to make Barry look petulant and child-like. Obama, well, used to give great speeches apparently.

Where did I say he wasn't? And before you make a statement about us not entering the war until 1941, we had basically been in the war for years, sending war munitions to Europe and actually having our ships attack. It was through war fears and propaganda based on those events that he was able to continue to be elected into in office.Originally posted by YALE View PostRoosevelt was elected for his third term in 1940. FtfyOriginally posted by BP View PostIt's even worse than that really, apparently Kerry had planned a speech where he was going to say the Syrians would not willingly give up their weapons and Putin took it and turned it around on him. He was trying to justify an attack based on what he assumed the Syrians would do, only they agreed to do the opposite which is going to buy them a lot more time.
Obama and Kerry need to step aside and let Israel, Iran, Turkey and whoever is running Iraq these days figure out a solution. Putin and Assad are master chess players while<B> Obama and Kerry are playing Pokemon.<B>

Obama's "Leadership" makes me embarrassed to be an American. The type of incompetence and incomprehensible hubris he displays is sickening. We are losing credibility on a global scale with each misstep he makes.

MOSCOW (AP) — Syria says it has accepted Russia's proposal to place its chemical weapons under international control for subsequent dismantling.
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said Tuesday after meeting with Russian parliament speaker that his government quickly agreed to the Russian initiative to "derail the U.S. aggression."
Meanwhile, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia is now working with Syria to prepare a detailed plan of action, which will be presented shortly.
Lavrov said that Russia will then be ready to finalize the plan together with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
President Barack Obama said Monday the Russian proposal could be "potentially a significant breakthrough," but he remained skeptical that Syria would follow through.

Then a 4th a few years later, he was the only one to succeed at gaining more than 2 terms. However, a few tried before him and didn't make the cut.Originally posted by YALE View PostRoosevelt was elected for his third term in 1940. Try again, and this time use the word, "accepted."
