Watch the food prices go up with the % of ethanol in the tank. Barry doesn't need to pass laws...he just lets his "agencies" do all his dirty work. No house or senate to deal with, either. Just a simple "mandate" is all it takes.

Food costs are already skyrocketing.... more farmers will jump to growing corn now, leaving the US at the mercy of the world market for the other crops like wheat.

At least Ford is in a lot better position to weather this storm. They'll have several good cars with 40mpg or better mileage. The F-150 has the most fuel efficient (and most powerful) engines of any pickup. They've got that Transit Connect thingie, and a Mustang with 305hp and 32mpg.

Even GM is in a better position with much better and more fuel efficient vehicles.

I have already had to rebuild my carb once since the ethanol came out and found a bunch of black goo in the float bowls and some orings that had deteriorated.

This is why ethanol as an oxidizer in fuel is retarded. None of the old fuel systems are built for it. Sure, you could have gaskets and o-rings made of EPDM or viton, but who would think to do that? My granny's not going to.
