And they're going to collect dust. This is going to drag on through the middle of November at least. A lot of Vets live in "red" areas so they're hoping that they'll put pressure on the Republicans to break ranks. The only thing I'm not sure on right now is the debt ceiling fiasco. If they use that as a bargaining chip and the government defaults, we're fucked.

Only Uncle Barry can cause a "default". There's plenty of money already funded to pay our actual debt. He's the one to pick and choose who gets funds, just as he is right now. His favorite golf course is open (though other federal land is not), Moo-chele's websites are up and running (though other federal websites that help Americans are not), and the house/senate are getting paid (though a lot of federal employee's are not).

Well, Obama was open about why he's not signing these funding bills. You don't get outrage if you sign bills that fund things, you only get people pissed at REpublicans if they go hungry.
